PrimaVista Records Breaks into the Corporate Gift Market

Los Angeles-based PrimaVista Records, founded by and featuring the music of Emmy-winning composer, Misha Segal, has entered the corporate gift market just in time for last minute employee holiday appreciation 2005.

Patricia Caron, Director of Media and Markets announced today, “Misha’s music, particularly an improvised piano solo CD collection called ‘Female’ lends itself to the employee gift market. This soothing cross between jazz and classical has been lauded by people across the world. Some say it makes their problems seem to disappear. Others say it’s the perfect remedy for the end of a long work day. Truly, I feel there is no better holiday gift than something that can relax a stressed employee all year ‘round. The ‘Female’ CD does just that.”

It’s been reported that hundreds of millions of dollars are lost each year due to employee absenteeism---rooted in stress overload. While Misha did not create this music with the intention of alleviating “America’s #1 illness”, fans say it does just that.

Ms. Caron reported, “A commercial real estate broker—a top 10 producer with demanding clients like Ford Motor Company—who works for the world’s largest brokerage had this to say, ‘As a First Vice President of Brokerage Services, my days start early, end late, and I’m ‘on’ the whole time. One night after work, I listened to Misha Segal’s ‘Female’ CD. It was… amazing. I listened to it all the way through and by the end of it, I felt like a new person. Because of my lifestyle, I actively seek things to help me unwind and calm down. Misha’s music was just the remedy.’”

‘Female’ is made up of the music Misha played for his mother while she battled lung cancer for 6 years. She said it took her mind off the chaos of her disease, brightened her spirits and transported her someplace else awash with beauty and romanticism. The music forms the core of Misha’s ‘Beauty Found in Unlikely Places’ concert series, which has traveled to cancer centers across the U.S.

Misha said, “Yet this is music for all people, no matter the circumstances, no matter if they’re fighting the biggest battle of their life or simply a bad hair day! I like to make people feel good; I’m thrilled so many others find joy in what I love doing.”

PrimaVista Records recently repackaged Misha Segal’s ‘Female’ as a double CD set, including the brand new ‘Female Part II’. The package contains over 70 minutes of music, including Misha’s interpretation of Mama’s long time favorite, ‘Over the Rainbow’ on ‘Female Part II’. As a large stock of the original single ‘Female’ CD was left over from the first pressing, PrimaVista Records is currently offering the original CD only (‘Female’), in bulk, to gift buyers at corporations and other interested organizations.

Is there a ‘Female Part III’ in the works? “Absolutely!” gushed Ms. Caron. The tentative title is ‘Female Part III: Be My Love’. It will feature world-renowned standard love songs, ‘Female’ style, slated to be ready for Valentine’s Day.”
