| Eight is Great--A New City Canyons Records Showcase City Canyons Records in conjunction with Black Dog Promotions and the New York Guitar School present Manhattan audiences with an early Christmas present with the Eighth City Canyons Showcase at New York's Red Lion tomorrow night, Tuesday, Dec. 13. City Canyons Records -- an exciting independent label based in downtown Manhattan -- joins with national sponsor Black Dog Promotions and regional sponsor the New York City Guitar School to present the eighth in a string of highly acclaimed events that have become one of New York's most popular and prestigious ongoing showcases for independent music. The stellar cast of pop and rock and roots artists gathered for this event includes Becky Chace, Lyza Wilson, Carrie Ashton, The Christopher Robin Band and Jesus H. Christ. The night features a mix of pop and rock ranging from the roots rock of Becky Chace to the stunning pop of diva Lyza Wilson, to the compelling and melodic pop rock of Carrie Ashton to the rock, bluegrass and blues of the Christopher Robin Band to the arty naughtiness of Jesus H.
