| James Carter At The Iridium From Wednesday, November 30th through Sunday, December 4th New York City music fans have a chance to hear one of the best bands to play a residency at an N.Y.C. jazz club since Monk hooked up with 'Trane. James Carter (reeds), Cyrus Chestnut (keys), Ali Jackson (percussion) and Reginald Veal (bass) will play live together for the first time since they recorded their landmark Brown Brothers Recordings release Gold Sounds. Not a jazz fan? No problem, because the source material for Gold Sounds was culled from the catalogue of one of the finest alt-rock bands of the 1990s, none other than slacker heroes Pavement. So come one, come all and get in on the live music event of the season. write your comments about the article :: © 2005 Jazz News :: home page |
