New Year's Celebration With Live Music

In traditional Times Square fashion, Universal CityWalk will usher in the 2006 New Year with thousands of revelers resulting in one of Southern California's largest annual celebrations featuring live concerts and DJ's, dancing and dining and the broadcast of the famous Times Square's ball drop on the giant AstroVision screen.

A free outdoor event, CityWalk's 13th annual New Year's Eve bash will take place from 9:00pm -- 1:00am and will feature live musical performances by the popular '80s band, Rocket Science, an ingenious gathering of super cool science nerds fulfilling their life's dream of being rock stars. Rocket Science performances will rock on the centrally located CityWalk stage, while DJs line the promenade, spinning dance music and entertaining the masses throughout the last wee hours of 2005.

With over 33 distinctly different CityWalk restaurants and nightclubs, many will host a variety of independent dinner and cocktail party packages. B.B. King's Blues Club and Restaurant will offer multiple live R&B bands and unique dining option ranging from four-course meals to special bottles of champagne. The Rumba Room will vibrate with live salsa bands and Latin dancers and will feature champagne toasting and concert packages. Howl at the Moon dueling piano bar club's advanced packages include reserved seating, unlimited bar and buffet privileges and non-stop entertainment. Festive packages, including infamous bull-riding jaunts will also be available at Saddle Ranch Chop House.
