| London Jazz Festival The 'bmi festival flightpath' at the London Jazz Festival 2005 ( 11–20 November ) is a route to finding the best of the festival. The flightpath sees bmi make its selection of some of the Festival highlights including performances by The Bad Plus, Archie Shepp + Mina Agossi, Branford Marsalis, Maria Schneider, Salif Keita + Richard Bona, Courtney Pine and Gilles Peterson. The flightpath selection reflects bmi's new fare structure offered on all bmi’s short-haul domestic and European city centre routes from London Heathrow. It was introduced after research amongst more than 10, 000 bmi customers in order to give them a simple selection of fares and service levels that reflected what they really wanted from a major airline. bmi routes from London Heathrow now operate a single class cabin offering three different fare levels either way: bmibaby tiny fares; standard fares and premium economy fares with a separate business class offered on the Belfast, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dublin and Brussels routes as well as on long-haul routes. Adrian Parkes, Commercial Director of bmi says, "We chose to create the 'bmi Festival Flightpath' at this year's London Jazz Festival because the idea of a great selection is an appropriate reflection of our new fare offer. We aim to hit all the right notes, whether at the Festival or for our passengers flying from Heathrow and across the UK." The London Jazz Festival in association with BBC Radio 3 runs at various venues across London and many events will be broadcast by Radio 3 on air and online. write your comments about the article :: © 2005 Jazz News :: home page |
