| Lazy Lester's "I'm a Man" Used For ABC TV's "Freddie" Harmonica player/vocalist Lazy Lester's version of "I'm A Man" is the theme song for ABC TV's new comedy “Freddie.” The song comes from Lester's 1988 Alligator album HARP AND SOUL. Lester is one of the key creators of the South Louisiana Swamp Blues sound of the 1950s. His high-pitched harmonica and “lazy” vocals are blues archetypes. His first hit, “I'm A Lover Not A Fighter” was covered by The Kinks. Lester, now based in Michigan, continues to record and perform. write your comments about the article :: © 2005 Jazz News :: home page |
