| 24th Annual Festival in Gainesville, FL Works of fine art, sounds of smooth jazz and the aroma of delectable treats will fill the air as the City of Gainesville's Division of Cultural Affairs presents the 24th Annual Downtown Festival & Art Show on Saturday and Sunday, November 12 and 13. Set in the heart of historic downtown Gainesville, the nationally acclaimed Downtown Festival & Art Show is North Central Florida's premier fall festival of the arts. Since 1996, the Downtown Festival & Art Show has been rated as one of the top 200 shows in the nation by Sunshine Artist magazine. The Downtown Festival & Art Show will feature a celebration of both jazz and blues. The festival weekend begins on Friday, November 11th on the Community Plaza with a free Downtown Festival Blues Concert. The blues concert is presented by the Gainesville Friends of Jazz and Blues and the North Central Florida Blues Society. A free Jazz Festival will be featured on Saturday evening featuring well-known national artists.
