| Estonian Ultra Jazz Week Jazzkaar Autumn Season peaks with minifestival „Ultra Jazz Week“ which brings to Estonia top musicians from Europe and USA – Francois Corneloup Trio U.L.M (Fra-UK), Expedition (Est-Lit-Swi), Kimmo Pohjonen with a new project KTU (Fin-Texas) and bass player Joelle Leandre and trumpet player Jean-Luc Cappozzo from France. Trio U.L.M formed by 3 top musicians from Europe’s modern jazz music scene brings new adventures. Saxophone player Francois Corneloup, experimental guitar player Marc Ducret and one of the leading British drummers Martin France - Trio U.L.M performs on 2nd of November in Tallinn and a day later in Viljandi. Their musical journey is filled with unexpected curves and yet delicacy and passion. Electronical surprises will be presented by an international group Expedition, on changing landscapes there will be Taavi Kerikm?e and Mart Soo from Estonia with credited Lithuanian guitarist Juozas Milasius and on drums British-Swiss talent Nicholas Field. French bass player, vocalist, improviser and composer Joelle Leandre is one of the leading figures in Europe’s modern jazz ground. Having inspired John Cage and performed with greats of modern jazz she will give a solo concert in Parnu on 7th of November. In Tallinn on 9th of November she will be joined by virtuoso trumpet player Jean-Luc Cappozzo. The delicacy of Ultra Jazz Week is project KTU which will join together Finnish accordion prodigy Kimmo Pohjonen and Samuli Kosminen from duo Kluster and Trey Gunn and Pat Mastelotto from cult group King Crimson. Finnish-Texas double duo will experiments the boundaries, mixes it with energy and humor and demonstrates phenomenal skills in dynamic improvisational environment.
