| The Barnburners to perform at New Year's Eve celebration  Southland Blues band The Barnburners will perform live at the Orange County New Year's Eve celebration at the Orange County Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa, California. Saturday, December 31, 2005 6 p.m. - 1:30 a.m.Orange County Fair & Exposition Center. Other acts scheduled to perform include: Sugar Ray, Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, The Violent Femmes, The Psychedelic Furs, Berlin, The English Beat, Bow Wow Wow, Reel Big Fish, Lit, The Raveonettes, The Colour, WaxApples, Charles Feelgood, Grant Plant, Jason Blakemore, DJ Jasen and Speaker Junkies. This New Years will be a night to remember for Southern California residents as the Orange County Fairgrounds will be transformed into the west coast version of Time’s Square. With its easy and accessible location in Orange County, parking accommodations, and plenty of indoor and outdoor space, the Orange County Fairgrounds was seen as a great fit to host the OCNYE. The Fairgrounds will host four large indoor live music/dance stages, one massive outdoor stage, a wide array of exhibits and off-beat entertainment, 7 themed entertainment environments, and of course, the Orange Ball Drop to ring in the New Year.
