| Alexi Tuomarila Quartet victorious in Granada by Mika Kauhanen Alexi Tuomarila Quartet has won the international contest for jazz groups in Granada, Spain. The first prize of 6000 euros includes a recording contract with Andalusian record company.Alexi Tuomarila Quartet concerts in Granada will be organized during the autumn. Apart from the pianist and composer Alexi Tuomarila, the winning quartet features Nicolas Kummert, saxophone, Christophe Devisscher, bass, and Teun Verbruggen, drums. The jury imposed by the Granada International Jazz Festival chose the winner among competing recordings that were sent to the contest beforehand.
