| Jimi Hendrix' Home Saved After a four year court battle with the Seattle authorities the childhood home of Jimi Hendrix has been saved from demolition after a new location to move the house to was agreed at the last minute. It seems that the house has already been moved to a temporary site. The dilapidated two-bedroom house will now be reconstructed on a 1.21ha site, bought for £980, 000 by a foundation set up by the singer's younger brother Leon, opposite the cemetery in Seattle where the singer was buried in 1970. reported byhttp://www.bigwheelblues.com/ write your comments about the article :: © 2005 Jazz News :: home page |
