| Mary Washington Brooks at Riverwalk Blues Festival Mary Washington Brooks the South Florida Blues Diva has been confirmed by the 19th Annual South Florida Riverwalk Blues Festival for November 6th 2005 on the Downtowner Riverwalk Stage. The Riverwalk Blues Festivals is one of the largest and most sort after festivals in the Country with some of the best blues talent alive today wanting to be seen and heard in it. She is set kick off the show for a string of the Best Female Blues entertainers of the day. Mary will kick the show off with songs from her new CD “Rock your World” and the five piece band Stueyblue will be backing her. They will be rocking the place with some of the best foot-stomping, finger snapping blues of the day. She is first up on the show with a string of great performers to follow, starting with E G Kite, Renee Austin, Detroit Women of R & B and Sharrie Williams who will end the show for the evening on the Downtowner Stage. The 19th Annual Blues and Music Festival will be going on until 11:30pm closing with and all star blues jam starting at 10pm. The buzz in and around Fort Lauderdale in the Blues Society circles today is that “Mary Washington Brooks is one of the Hottest Female Blues Singer around to date, her stage presence, and Blues talent brings added excitement to any venue.” Washington wrote seven of the ten songs on her new CD “Rock Your World”, it is being played on local radio station Hot 105.1 on the blues show on Sundays and on many radio stations nationally and internationally. Washington-Brooks recently made appearances for the South Florida Blues Society’s “South Florida Blues Diva’s, The Hurricane Katrina Relief Benefit for Blues”, she also performed at a fund raiser to Keep WPRK alive for the blues with “Dar” on Sundays at Synders Park recently, all sponsored by the South Florida Blues Society.
