| The Veronicas Set to Release Debut Album Embarking on their first North American tour, The Veronicas will be joining Ryan Cabrera this Fall, kicking off October 19 in Los Angeles, CA, at the House of Blues, and continuing through November. Originally from Brisbane, Australia and now residing in Los Angeles, Lisa and Jess Origliasso have already created a huge buzz for their debut album, titled "The Secret Life Of The Veronicas." A band that "People Are Talking About" according to Teen Vogue (November), The Veronicas were recently featured on MTV News' "You Hear It First, " which spotlights emerging artists expected to make it big. The band was also named an AOL Breaker Artist in August, where AOL Music and Radio Networks showcase the hottest developing artists to online music fans. Set for a digital release October 18, and physical release in January 2006, "The Secret Life Of The Veronicas" contains 12 irresistible pop-rock songs and was made with some of today's top producers such as Billy Steinberg (Madonna) Max Martin (Britney Spears), Dr. Luke (Kelly Clarkson) and Toby Gad (Enrique Iglesias). The debut single "4ever" made such an impact on Seattle's KBKS, Boston's WXKS and Sacramento's KDND, that the stations added the track earlier than the official add date of August 30. It was then immediately added to over 60 stations across the country, including Sirius Satellite Radio. In an exciting pairing with Choice Calvin Klein, The Veronicas have been selected to help launch the Fall 2005 Choice Calvin Klein campaign. Designed to cross-promote the fresh, energetic, fashion-forward spirit of the brand, as embodied by the duo, The Veronicas will play 2 special shows -- September 28 at The Roxy in Los Angeles, and October 18 at Double Doors in Chicago -- to celebrate the line as well as their new debut album. write your comments about the article :: © 2005 Jazz News :: home page |
