| Angelyna Martinez is coming to the Mint by Audience Demand Actor, Vocalist Angelyna Martinez captivates The Mint in Los Angeles on Monday September 19th and October 17th, 2005. Martinez a proven actress and back up vocalist (Lenny Kravitz, Maxwell and Luscious Jackson) in the industry has just released her debut jazz CD “Labor of Love.” Martinez is already receiving rave reviews from print critics and radio stations across the Nation. Angelyna will start shooting in October for her role as Cece an ex-gang member gone good in the upcoming independent feature Vicious Circle. Idalis, also stars in the upcoming feature “Running Scared.” Angelyna's role as Vanessa in the award-winning show “Strong Medicine, ” executive produced by Whoopie Goldberg was aired all over the world and continues to be the most popular and requested episode for the series. The episode addresses the International epidemic of drug use amongst teenagers. Challenging her acting abilities, Martinez was cast to play Vanessa a strung-out heroin junkie who is pregnant. Angelyna explains; “I was deeply moved by this role and very sad at the same time because the character really did want to kick her habit and have a healthy baby to love, but she was so far-gone that unfortunately at this moment in her life the reality was impossible. The character had a choice to make and to ultimately sacrifice her unborn child."
