One of the authors of modern music, Les Paul's many innovations and contributions to music and recording span his storied life as a musician and inventor, and he has been justly celebrated as a musical genius. Paul was recently inducted into the National Inventors' Hall Of Fame, where he joined other timeless icons of invention, including Alexander Graham Bell, the Wright Brothers and Benjamin Franklin. Les Paul is a longstanding member of the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame, and on his June 9 birthday, he was honored with the Songwriters' Hall Of Fame's Sammy Cahn Lifetime Achievement Award, marking a fine start to his 90th year. write your comments about the article :: © 2005 Jazz News :: home page |
