Sydney's Manly International Jazz Festival 2005

The Manly International Jazz Festival 2005 promises to be an event that will absolutely please any audiences that like to enjoy the diversity that Jazz in its many forms provides. There are over 70 bands performing over a three day period from the 1st to the 3rd of October.

A popular Sydney band, Viva the band will be at the festival for the three days, performing: jazz, French, Spanish, salsa and swing music, with musette accordion, Jazz violin, congas, guitar, drums and wonderful harmonizing singers. There is hard driving Jazz by Dan Barnett and his band, any number of female vocalists performing styles such as jazz, soul and gospel, big bands, brass bands, roving bands, trad bands, New Orleans style bands etc. etc. this is the current list of performers:

The Manly International Jazz Festival, is Australia's largest and longest-running community based jazz festival. Set amongst the beautiful Sydney harbour environment, the festival is hugely popular with expectations of over 60, 000 people attending over the three day period. Manly is considered to be the 'home of jazz' in Australia and this year will be its 28th year of operation.

There are outdoor stages along the beachfront, in the Corso, around the entrances of Manly wharf and at major hotels in Manly. Artists comprise of previously included leading bands and artists from Sydney, around Australia and Internationally.
