| Paddy Milner chosen to launch new Jazz venue in the UK Young piano playing singer Paddy Milner has been chosen to be the first “Rising Jazz Star” to launch a new Jazz Club at The Princess Hall in Aldershot. He will perform with his band on Friday 30th September 2005. The Hall, run by David Phillips, has a superb reputation for programming the finest live entertainment. The new jazz club will be held in The Princes Suite beneath the main auditorium and will feature artists on their way to international fame while the Main Hall will feature those artists that are already household names, such as the first seasons’: Cleo Laine & John Dankworth (12th October) , Acker Bilk and Humprey Lyttleton (November 11th.), and Clare Teal (29th April 2006). Princes Hall Manager David Phillips said, ” Launching a new Jazz Club at the venue is something we've been considering for some time. During discussions with Clare Teal's manager David Carr about the possibility of bringing Clare to the Princes Hall next Spring, it became very clear that his expertise in the world of Jazz, and in particular his enthusiasm for the project, could be invaluable to us. We're delighted to have him on board, and he's already secured a number of exciting artists for our first few jazz club evenings”.
