| Mercedes-Benz Revs Up Chicago's Jazz Fest Mercedes-Benz is proud to announce its official vehicle sponsorship of Chicago's 32nd Annual Heritage Music Weekend, the oldest African American produced musical festival in the United States. Jazz Fest 2005 will take place from August 5-7 at Chicago's South Shore Cultural Center. Joseph Kurp, general manager for MBUSA's Chicago region, stated, "We're excited to be a part of this festival because like our brand, the Heritage Music Weekend has great tradition and culture. Sponsoring the festival and the Awards Gala allows us the opportunity to give back to a community that embraces diversity, the arts and education -- all important values to us." As part of a continuing commitment to support the arts and community, Mercedes-Benz is sponsoring the winning raffle prize at the kick-off "We Love You Madly" Awards Gala this evening. The proceeds from the Awards Gala will go towards supporting the preservation and appreciation of jazz. All Awards Gala attendees will be entered into the raffle for the chance to drive their choice of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, which will be displayed throughout the weekend. The vehicles presented at the numerous day and evening concerts will be a CLK Cabriolet, SLK Roadster, all-new ML SUV, C-Class Sports Sedan, E- Class 4Matic AWD, and the premium flagship S-Class sedan. In addition to support from MBUSA, both area dealers -- Mercedes-Benz of Chicago and Mercedes-Benz of Orland Park -- are also sponsors of the festival and will be onsite throughout the weekend to answer questions. write your comments about the article :: © 2005 Jazz News :: home page |
