6th Annual Latin GRAMMYs to Broadcast Live

The Latin Recording Academy announced today that the 6th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards will take center stage on Thursday, Nov. 3 and for the second straight year will originate from Los Angeles' historic Shrine Auditorium. The show - which will feature performances from the hottest, chart-topping names in Latin music - will be broadcast for the first time on the Univision Network from 8 - 11 p.m. In addition to its U.S. broadcast, the 6th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards will be broadcast in approximately 100 countries worldwide.

The 6th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards will feature 43 categories, including Record Of The Year, Album Of The Year, Song Of The Year, and Best New Artist. Nominations for the 6th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards will be announced on Tuesday, Aug. 23, at The Music Box @ Fonda in Hollywood.

"The Latin GRAMMYs recognizes musical excellence while spotlighting the very best in Latin music from around the world, " said Latin Recording Academy President Gabriel Abaroa. "With our new broadcast partner Univision, we look forward to giving music fans everywhere three hours of live performances they'll never see anywhere else but on a Latin GRAMMY stage."
