| Phil Woods DVD Documentary receives a Telly Award The 2005 Jazzed Media DVD Documentary, Phil Woods “A Life In E Flat”, has been awarded the prestigious Telly Award- Winner in the music/concert video category. This award recognizes excellence in independent filmmaking. The Jazzed Media produced documentary features alto saxophone legend Phil Woods, and includes extensive footage of Phil's “Little Big Band” at work in the studio recording the Jazzed Media companion CD, “This Is How I Feel About Quincy”. Phil is joined in the studio by Brian Lynch, Bill Charlap, Steve Gilmore, and Bill Goodwin, and several other jazz musicians making up the “Little Big Band”. The documentary also features extensive interviews with Phil as he reviews his 50+ year career in jazz. Phil talks about Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie, Quincy Jones, and his teaming with Gene Quill.
