Kelly Bell Band headlines the third annual Freedom Fest

Central PA music fans should prepare themselves for a serious case of the blues this July 4th. Phat blues that is, as the legendary Kelly Bell Band headlines the third annual Freedom Fest in downtown Lancaster. Once again, Marion Court Room restaurant is proud to present a day of food, music and good times on Monday, July 4th from 3 p.m. until midnight.

“It’s a great day to come out, kick back, enjoy some great food and amazing music,” states Marion Court Room co-owner Michael Geesey. “We bring out the best talent the region has to offer and put on a fantastic show.”

Major corporate sponsors such as Miller Lite, Bulova Technologies, Illusion Sound and Light, and Captain Morgan have signed on for the event. Central PA radio station WLAN FM97 will be promoting the festival and running live remotes all day.

Music will flow non-stop from two stages set up on Marion Court. The entertainment kicks off at 3 p.m. with Altercana, The Hundred, Condition K, Parallax Project, Rombis, Rectifier, Movies with Heroes, Slimfit and the Stephen Reso Band all set to rock the stage. The entire event wraps up with the funk, soul and blues stylings of the fabulous Kelly Bell Band.

Armed with an infectious groove and style, Bell and his band have held the title of “Best Blues Band in the Mid-Atlantic Region” for the past nine years in a row. Their deeply rooted style is capable of stepping across several musical genres from one moment to the next. As many fans across the Eastern Seaboard can attest, the Kelly Bell Band touches everyone. Their live show is a musical marathon second to none.

Marion Street in downtown Lancaster will be closed all day on the fourth to accommodate the festival. A variety of food and beverages will be available from the Marion Court Room restaurant. A nominal $6 cover charge assures patrons more bang for their buck and a great way to wrap up the holiday weekend!
