| SAGE Awards Major Technology Deal to Publishing Technology Publishing Technology has announced an agreement for major implementation project of its journal fulfilment software by international publisher SAGE. As one of the most prominent publishers of journals, books, and electronic media for academic, educational, and professional markets, SAGE will implement Publishing Technology's software across the business to align its journals fulfilment systems globally with the Publishing Technology systems that are already implemented at CQ Press, a Washington-based publisher which was acquired by SAGE in 2008. Publishing Technology's journal fulfilment software will harmonise order entry, billings, access entitlement and fulfilment, as well as consortia dealings, content bundling and customer service across SAGE's business globally. SAGE's investment in the future of its fulfilment systems begins with its journals business and is anticipated to be extended to incorporate its book titles in the following year. As part of the new contract, SAGE will also evaluate Publishing Technology's enterprise publishing application, advance, with a view to defining a clear upgrade path for the future, ensuring its technology stays at the forefront of an evolving digital publishing age. write your comments about the article :: © 2011 Computing News :: home page |
