| SDL Launches ‘Predictive Text’ for Global Technical Communicators SDL has launched SDL Global Authoring Management System 2010, providing power and content quality to the fingertips of professional authors, editors and reviewers. New AutoSuggest technology in SDL Global Authoring Management System 2010 provides as-you-type suggestions to authors to speed up the content creation process and ensure quality content is available on-demand. SDL Global Authoring Management System gives global organizations the ability to adhere to style and linguistic guidelines globally, to ensure the use of accurate terminology and to reuse previously written content. By integrating this technology into the content development process, organizations can improve the quality and clarity of customer communications, achieve time-to-market deadlines and control translation costs. This latest release focuses on improving productivity for technical communicators. It includes AutoSuggest technology, leveraged from SDL Trados Studio. AutoSuggest offers writers suggestions of previously written content as they type within their writing environment. This ensures that they do not have to write the same sentence twice and therefore increases productivity, improves consistency and helps reduce translation effort and cost. Further enhancements to the technology include Multiple Document Processing, which allows users to perform style, terminology and authoring memory checks and reports on a group of documents, Adobe FrameMaker books, or "DITA maps". This provides additional flexibility and productivity for users working in structured content with DITA. write your comments about the article :: © 2010 Computing News :: home page |
