LANCOM Systems to Exhibit at CeBIT 2010

Networking specialists LANCOM Systems are displaying numerous new products at this year's CeBIT (Hanover, Germany, March 02 – 06). The highlights at the LANCOM booth include innovations in high-speed wireless LAN, site connectivity and security, as well as the latest updates to the LANCOM operating system LCOS. In addition, LANCOM will be illustrating the versatility and potential of their solutions with three thematic showcase scenarios.

Along with the standard LANCOM product range, visitors to the exhibition can expect a true fireworks display of innovations in most of the company's product groups. These include the new L-320 series of 802.11n access points; a first look at the coming generation of wireless LAN access points offering data rates of up to 450 Mbps; an outdoor UMTS router; and a preview of the coming LANCOM operating system LCOS 8.0, which, among other things, provides a web content filter for LANCOM routers, gateways and WLAN controllers.

LANCOM picks up on important social and commercial trends in three showcase scenarios concerning home-office connectivity, network virtualisation and broadband provision. On display are concrete solutions illustrating just how companies, institutions and the authorities can benefit from modern wireless LAN and VPN solutions.

The home-office connectivity showcase presents flexible and economical solutions for secure connections between home-office workplaces and company networks. With their network virtualisation scenario, LANCOM presents a concept for the optimisation of company infrastructures, yielding cost reductions and increases in the flexibility and security of company networks. The showcase on broadband provision with wireless LAN illustrates just how Internet can be provided quickly and economically to remote rural areas — and all based on technology available today.
