Pink Elephant Announces New Chief Executive Appointment

Pink Elephant UK announces the appointment of Marcus Harris as the new CEO for Pink Elephant UK. As a former director at the BCS (British Computer Society) and prior to that, i2k, Pink Elephant is fully aware of the skills and experience that Harris will bring to the organisation. Alan McCarthy, Regional Director, said: "We are delighted to welcome Marcus on board at this very significant time for Pink Elephant in the UK."

Defining a clear vision and strategy for the next five years, Harris will be responsible for leading the organisation through the next level of growth. This appointment, combined with the recent recruitment of an additional business development manager from a leading competitor, shows the strength of the Pink Elephant brand despite the appalling market conditions of 2009.

Marcus is an enthusiastic and passionate advocate for quality IT Services through the development of individuals and organisation. His experience in combining Continuous Professional Development with SFIA plus tool sets and professional accreditation means he has a fantastic understanding of the market Pink Elephant operates within. Says Harris: "Pink Elephant is a strong and enduring international brand, synonymous with quality and service delivery for over 20 years, and I am looking forward to the challenge of developing the business further."

Outside of work, Marcus is also an established speaker, presenter and part-time actor. Acting credits range back to 1978 where he played Julian in ITV's adaptation of the Famous 5 and has continued to this day with adverts, dramas and documentaries. He is an experienced presenter, fulfilling professional engagements over many years as MC for weddings, balls and functions, leading to a role as Guest Presenter on QVC, after-dinner and keynote speaking.
