| K7 TotalSecurity Outperforms Leading Anti-Virus Brands K7 TotalSecurity, an integrated product featuring Antivirus, Firewall, Privacy and Anti-spam, developed by K7 Computing, has been ranked amongst the top virus detection programs globally by AV-Test. Targeted primarily at the home-user segment, K7 TotalSecurity has outperformed products from other key players in this segment. The test was conducted on leading antivirus products, catering to the enterprise as well as the home-user segment and results were published on 7th September 2009. The products were tested for their efficacy in detecting various threats that Internet users may be exposed to, including viruses, worms, adwares & spywares, Trojans, Rootkits and other latest security threats. K7 TotalSecurity proved to be one among the best anti-virus products in the home-user category with a consolidated detection rate of 97.24%. The product demonstrated detection rates of over 97% for adwares & spywares, of over 98% for backdoor threats, of over 96% for bots and Trojans, of over 99% for viruses and over 97% for worms.
