| Mistral Signs MoU with Eurocopter Mistral Solutions and Eurocopter have signed an MoU to jointly collaborate and execute activities in the aerospace and defense domains. According to the agreement, Mistral will be a technology partner to Eurocopter and will offer engineering services covering hardware design, firmware/embedded software development, systems integration, testing and qualification. This will help Eurocopter to meet its defense offset obligations in relation to several acquisition programmes of the Ministry of Defense, Government of India. Under the "offset programme" laid down by the Government of India, for imports of defense equipment valued above 300 crores, it is mandatory for foreign sellers to spend 30% of the contract value in India; sourcing goods and services from Indian companies. The offset obligation may be fulfilled in the form of co-production, licensed production, technology transfer, outsourcing of components, etc. Mistral's decade-long experience in meeting the complex and demanding requirements of defense customers was a key factor in Eurocopter's decision to sign on Mistral as a technology partner.
