| Attenda’s SaaS Platform Grows with BIW Technologies Attenda announces that SaaS pioneer BIW Technologies has signed a new five year contract for the delivery and operational management of its SaaS project control applications for the architectural, engineering, construction and property sectors. BIW is the European leader in SaaS collaboration and project control systems for the construction and property industry, measured by numbers of users, usage and volume of data. Collaboration services delivered on a Software as a Service basis by BIW were first employed in 1999 on UK capital projects for Sainsbury's. Today, BIW customers include Sainsbury's, House of Fraser and Marks & Spencer, BAA, Crest Nicholson, the UK Ministry of Defence, the Wellcome Trust, O2, Mace, Bovis Lend Lease, Kajima, Gleeds, ISG, Canary Wharf Contractors, and developers Nakheel, Land Securities and Ballymore. An existing client since 2000, this latest contract renewal demonstrates BIW confidence in Attenda as its Software as a Service Provider. Attenda has proven experience in working with Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) to successfully deliver SaaS applications, with the depth and breadth of expertise to help them through the commercial, technical and operational aspects of on demand software delivery. Attenda is providing BIW with operational infrastructure and ongoing managed services, with secure, scalable and agile hosting environments, including platform deployment in the US, to facilitate the smooth, rapid and reliable deployment of its SaaS applications. With varying client usage demands, large amounts of data and a requirement for proven disaster recovery capabilities, Attenda has implemented a virtualised IT infrastructure using the Attenda Visualisation Platform. With a typical 30% plus growth in client storage requirements, this platform enables BIW to scale rapidly without the need to over-provision large amounts of excess capacity. An expanded component of BIW's infrastructure will include a deployment hosted in Chicago, giving American clients greater legal protection for their data. Attenda's Real Time Infrastructure RTI platform, a scalable, demand-based, virtualised IT infrastructure, delivers unprecedented business agility through the rapid deployment of computing resource, providing ISVs with the opportunity to grow their infrastructure with additional capacity as their own client base grows. ISO 20000 accreditation reinforces Attenda's commitment to excellence in IT Service Management and recognises the adoption of its integrated ITIL-based process approach to the effective delivery of managed services to meet business and client requirements. write your comments about the article :: © 2009 Computing News :: home page |
