UC4 Software announces that Cesare Capobianco has been appointed as the company's chief executive officer. As CEO, he will assume overall responsibility for day-to-day operations at UC4 succeeding Franz Beranek, following a carefully planned and smoothly executed transition program that began with Mr. Capobianco joining UC4 in May 2008. Previously Mr. Capobianco had served as Vice President of Sales in EMEA for BMC Software and Vice President and General Manager of Hewlett-Packard's Software Global Business Unit in EMEA.

UC4 Software also announces that company founding CEO Franz Beranek has been appointed to a newly-created position as Strategic Advisor to the company's board of directors. Mr. Beranek has been CEO of UC4 since founding the company in 1985.
