Twickenham Stadium Selects Agilysys

Agilysys announces that Twickenham Stadium, located in the London suburb of Twickenham, has selected InfoGenesis POS, mPOS and Eatec Solutions, all by Agilysys, to streamline efficiency and control costs at the world-class sporting and entertainment venue. Twickenham Stadium is operated by Twickenham Experience, a joint venture company between the Rugby Football Union (RFU) and Compass Group.

The venue, known as the 'Home of England Rugby', recently underwent an extensive redevelopment, so the timing was right for automating its systems for point-of-sale and inventory and procurement. The stadium had been using cash registers at its concession stands and manual systems for counting inventory and ordering stock.

InfoGenesis POS combines powerful reporting and configuration capabilities with an easy-to-use touch-screen terminal application to enable total management of concession operations. Its sorting, filtering and grouping options allow users to find information quickly and easily. Other features include real-time reporting capabilities, organisational controls and advanced encryption tools. The initial phase of the POS implementation included the installation of 219 POS terminals throughout Twickenham Stadium's new South Stand and various hospitality suites and concessions stands.

InfoGenesis mPOS is a handheld point-of-sale solution that offers customisable screen layout, barcode scanning, signature capture and online or offline ordering capabilities. Twickenham Stadium will use the mobile solution to take orders in skyboxes, ensuring continuity of service and satisfied VIP guests.

Eatec Solutions is a full-featured inventory and procurement solution designed specifically for the foodservice and hospitality industries. Along with its core purchasing, inventory, recipe, forecasting, production and sales analysis functions, the solution is unique in offering catering, concessions and retail/merchandising modules in one integrated system. It interfaces with virtually any accounting or POS solution and can be seamlessly integrated with B2B exchanges. With more than 400 standard reports, the solution will enable Twickenham management to make more informed business decisions.

Twickenham Stadium, with a seating capacity of 82,000, is the largest rugby stadium and second largest stadium in the United Kingdom. The stadium is the home of the Rugby Football Union (RFU) and a popular venue for domestic and international rugby matches as well as concerts, conferences and corporate hospitality events. Twickenham's recent additions include an increase in commercial floor space, dedicated conference and exhibition space, a performing arts centre, a state-of-the-art fitness facility, a rugby store, six VIP suites and a four-star Marriott hotel.
