| Operators Recover Only a Third of Total Identified Revenue Leakages cVidya Networks has announced the findings of the first Revenue Assurance Benchmark Study report carried out in collaboration between the TM Forum and cVidya Networks and based on the TM Forum's 10 standard KPI methodology. The study included 14 communications service providers from 5 continents, most with a relatively high RA maturity level. In a major finding, the study revealed that operators recover only one third of their total identified revenue leakages, and the average of detected unbilled and under-billed revenue in this category is estimated to be almost one percent of the operator's total revenue. Additional compelling statistics and figures can be found in this study. The Revenue Assurance Benchmark Study was initiated by the TM Forum's Revenue Assurance modelling team led by Dr. Gadi Solotorevsky, cVidya's Chief Scientist and by the TM Forum Business Benchmarking Program managed by Tonia Graham. "This study is a considerable breakthrough in the field of Revenue assurance KPI's measurements", said Dr. Solotorevsky. "The TM Forum's findings are the first benchmark of actual leakage and recovered amounts relating to information from live 'Operations'. These findings provide a clearer view of the correlation between, for example, recovered revenue leakage and identified revenue leakage, which is benchmarked to be in a ratio of 1:3." "This first study has delivered significant value", added Tonia Graham. "The upcoming studies, which will benchmark various other aspects of the revenue assurance operations within operator's community, should be equally illuminating." write your comments about the article :: © 2008 Computing News :: home page |
