CyberLink to Showcase Its Solutions at CEATEC Japan 2008

CyberLink will demonstrate the ubiquitous digital media lifestyle at CEATEC Japan 2008 with its software-based media applications for accessing and enjoying personal media anywhere inside and outside the home. Meanwhile, CyberLink's exhibition of its video editing software will provide visitors with a glimpse into the immersive HD video experience.

CyberLink's solutions will be demonstrated at the DLNA booth (Hall 1, 1A03), and at the Toshiba booth (Hall 8, 8K15). Solutions highlights include:

Ubiquitous Connectivity for the Connected Digital Lifestyle

Media Connectivity inside the home

Designed to ensure a better user experience, the next-generation of Media Server and SoftDMA enable the streaming and playback of high-definition content connected across a DLNA/UPnP home network. CyberLink Media Server 2.0 features support for QoS technology and video transcoding, delivering optimized playback quality for media content streamed across the network. The network player SoftDMA 2.0 works in conjunction with Media Server for consistent playback performance. SoftDMA 2.0 can now be operated remotely via a Digital Media Controller.

Media Connectivity outside the home

The next-generation of CyberLink Live features DLNA and DMA technologies, allowing remote accessing and sharing of media content stored on multiple DLNA-compliant devices across the home network, via any web-browsing device, anywhere and anytime. Additionally, CyberLink Live incorporates Intel Remote Wake Technology which allows users to wake up their home PCs from sleep mode for secure remote access to their digital media, whilst keeping the PC home-energy efficient.

High-Definition Video Editing

CyberLink's video editing software PowerDirector features powerful editing tools for pro-like results. By signing up to Director Zone — PowerDirector's online community, users are able to share their creativities with others by uploading and downloading thousands of free effects and templates. At CEATEC, CyberLink will be demonstrating PowerDirector's advanced support for Toshiba SpursEngine technology for delivering outstanding performance in HD video acceleration during the rendering process.
