Netlog Selects Arbor Networks

Arbor Networks announces that Netlog, Europe's premier social networking portal, has deployed the Arbor Peakflow SP platform ("Peakflow SP") for greater network visibility and to enhance its protection against distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks, botnets, worms and other network vulnerabilities.

Netlog has more than 34.3 million members throughout Europe, is available in fifteen languages, and has more than 150 million visits per month. Netlog enlisted Infradata to assist with the selection and deployment of technology to improve their network-wide visibility into traffic and security threats.

Peakflow SP leverages IP flow data to deliver a unique combination of pervasive visibility into network, application and routing traffic with real-time detection, mitigation, and comprehensive reporting of network anomalies, all from one fully integrated platform. This enables Netlog to minimise the adverse impact of security threats such as DDoS attacks, botnets, and worms as well as network issues such as traffic and routing instability on their network.
