Infinity Systems Introduces Prelude Forty Loudspeaker

At CEDIA Expo 2008, Infinity Systems has announced the introduction of its Prelude Forty, its new flagship loudspeaker. Created to commemorate the company's 40th anniversary, Prelude Forty features unique slim-profile styling, and incorporates the most advanced Infinity engineering innovations available to achieve extraordinary musical realism. The Prelude Forty has a sleek, elegantly proportioned tapered and curved design, and will be available in three finishes: high-gloss black, real-wood cherry and rosewood.

To achieve its superior sonic accuracy and musicality, the Prelude Forty employs multiple, proprietary Maximum Radiating Surface (MRS) flat-panel drivers utilizing exclusive Ceramic Metal Matrix Diaphragm (CMMD) material; an improved CMMD tweeter with frequency response that extends beyond 40kHz; dual side-firing CMMD woofers; premium-grade internal components; and many additional enhancements.

In addition to numerous sonic benefits, the MRS driver's tall, narrow shape allows the Prelude Forty to have a much narrower width and slimmer profile than do conventional loudspeakers.

The Prelude Forty offers a combination of natural vocal and instrumental reproduction, a smooth, accurate tonal balance both on- and off-axis, precise imaging across a three-dimensional soundstage, and wide dynamic range. It is created to satisfy demanding audiophiles and design-conscious consumers alike.

The Infinity Prelude Forty loudspeaker will be available in September 2008.
