| ESTC2008 Announces Its Final Programme The European Semantic Technology Conference (ESTC2008) has announced its final programme for the two day event in Vienna, Austria, 24th – 26th September 2008. Putting semantic technology on the European business agenda, the ESTC2008, now in its second year, brings together leading thinkers, developers, and senior practitioners to discuss the application of semantic technology in industry, commerce and government. Over 30 presentations and invited talks will explore the business opportunities of semantic technologies, in many industry sectors including Aeronautics, Law, Telecommunications, eTourism Life Science and Business Intelligence. Programme highlights include Mills Davis of Project10x sharing forecasts on the growing market for semantic technologies. Senior researchers, developers and executives from BT, SAP, Thomson Reuters and others will give insights into how global enterprises are implementing semantic technology solutions in data integration and analysis and explain their vision of an Internet of Services that transforms services into tradable goods that are offered, sold, executed and consumed globally via the internet. Other highlights include talks on semantic wikis and the semantic desktop. Three panel discussions, workshops, tutorials and an exhibition of leading vendors will complete the programme.
