| Toshiba Extends Mid-Volume Color Line Toshiba America Business Solutions announces the expansion of its mid-volume color printing line-up with the introduction of the e-STUDIO 2330c color multifunction product (MFP). Joining Toshiba's e-STUDIO2830c/3530c/4520c color MFP series launched in June 2008, the Toshiba e-STUDIO2330c answers the needs of small to mid-sized businesses and satellite offices that want a full-featured, fast color MFP with an entry-level price-point. Like the rest of the mid-volume color MFP family, the e-STUDIO2330c features Toshiba's next generation e-BRIDGE controller for efficient processing and multi-tasking, the Easily Replaceable Unit design that minimizes maintenance downtime, and supports direct scanning to, and printing from, portable USB memory drives. The new e-STUDIO2330c color MFP boasts a print speed of 23 pages-per-minute (PPM) for color, and 28 PPM in monochrome, with a first copy out time of approximately eight seconds, providing fast color printing to businesses with moderate output needs. Utilizing Toshiba's enhanced laser image technology (e-Fine), the e-STUDIO2330c delivers best-in-class color clarity and rich text renditions in all scanning, printing and copying jobs. Supporting print resolutions of 2,400 x 600 dots-per-inch (dpi) and 10-bit scanning resolutions of 600 x 600 dpi, the e-STUDIO2330c provides razor-sharp text and superior graphic detail in all printed documents. Toshiba's next generation e-BRIDGE controller progresses document security further by featuring integrated Advanced Encryption Standard hard disk encryption, IPv6, IPSec, SNMPv3 and 802.1x authentication, protecting the document workflow all the way to the network. The e-STUDIO2330c also includes Encrypted PDF, enabling users to password-protect documents when creating scanned PDFs to prevent unauthorized viewing or printing. For an additional level of protection, the e-STUDIO2330c can be outfitted with the optional Data Overwrite Kit, ensuring that digital scans saved on the internal hard drive are completely eliminated after the print job is completed. Toshiba's new Easily Replaceable Unit (ERU) technology ensures that the e-STUDIO2330c stays running at full capacity, even when the product needs its consumable supplies refreshed. As part of the e-STUDIO2330c design, the toner and paper cartridges are readily accessible. The ERU system keeps document workflow at a consistent rate. Coupled with an estimated monthly print duty cycle of up to 50,000 sheets, the e-STUDIO2330c provides business owners and office managers the peace of mind that, no matter how big or complex the print job, it can be completed without interruption. Building on its long-standing relationship with Microsoft, the e-STUDIO2330c provides Windows Vista-specific printing enhancements in the form of XPS Print Path drivers, Windows Color System support and Windows Vista WS print and scan support, while remaining 100 percent backwards-compatible with existing deployments. This XPS format integration offers full printer functionality and enables users to print 2007 Microsoft Office system documents directly to the MFP without the wasted overhead of file conversion. The Toshiba e-STUDIO2330c is immediately available through Toshiba's nationwide network of dealers. write your comments about the article :: © 2008 Computing News :: home page |
