| GyPSii Announces Support for Intel-based Mobile Internet Devices GyPSii announces that it is optimizing its popular social networking application for Moblin-based Mobile Internet Devices (MIDs) based on Intel Atom processor Z5XX series. The GyPSii application connects people and content to places and networks - from work to play to home - allowing users to share their real life experiences in the virtual world. It is the first application of its kind that enables people to record their life based on their location, bringing together new mobile lifestyle capabilities including User Generated Content, Locating Friends and Points of Interest – all in a single, easy-to-use interface. ABI Research forecasts 90M MID units to ship over the next 4 years, with users from Gen Y, Social Networkers, Young Gamers and the Lifestyle Boomer segments. In addition to Moblin based Linux OS, GyPSii supports MID running Windows XP and Windows Vista platforms. GyPSii currently interoperates on Symbian, Windows Mobile, and BlackBerry devices, as well as the Apple iPhone and browser-based Internet connected devices. GyPSii-enabled MIDs will be available in the second half of 2008. write your comments about the article :: © 2008 Computing News :: home page |
