The Imaging Source Releases TX Text Control .NET Server 14.0

Increasingly, the centralized creation and management of documents is an integral part of enterprise software. In modern server-based architectures, invoices, business reports and mission critical documents are created, printed and e-mailed by one centralized server.

With its latest software product, TX Text Control .NET Server 14.0, The Imaging Source brings to market a family of components for Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 and 2008, which can be used to create documents from MS Word compatible templates and content from databases. The resulting document can be printed or saved to Adobe PDF.

The components, which have been designed specifically for Microsoft Visual Studio, allow documents to be created on one centralized server. According to the manufacturer, the advantage herein is that documents can be centrally managed, created on demand, when they are needed, thus ensuring the document's data is always up to date. The resulting documents can then be printed or e-mailed, as the application demands.

The components were authored for server-side solutions, such as ASP.NET web applications or web services. During the development of the components, great emphasis was placed on their performance, stability and reliability.

TX Text Control .NET Server 14.0 supports all industry standard formats, such as Office Open XML (DOCX), MS Word (DOC), Rich Text Format (RTF) and HTML. Consequently, templates which currently exist and are stored as DOC files can be used.
