Worksoft Announces Availability of Certify 8.2.1

Worksoft announces the availability of Worksoft Certify version 8.2.1, which now provides support for SAP GUI for HTML. Worksoft Certify's database-centric model for storing and executing test assets allows pre-defined tests for key SAP applications to be quickly loaded and customized based on each customer's unique SAP configuration.

Release 8.2.1 furthers this advancement by also allowing the same pre-defined tests to be executed against either SAP user interface. New enhancements include:
- Support for SAP GUI for HTML: Users can create a single set of automated tests that can interact with either the SAP GUI for Windows or the SAP GUI for HTML, using the same metadata model.
- Support for locale-specific date and number formats: Users can interact with number and date formats consistent with their geographic locale, enabling the user to create processes that execute consistently against the AUT, regardless of the user's locale.
- Enhanced filtering and selection capabilities: Users can quickly find information needed by simply typing in all or parts of search strings. This 'type ahead' capability can be used in conjunction with Worksoft Certify's existing filtering capability.

Worksoft's flagship product, Worksoft Certify, offers a patented and unique "scriptless" approach to functional and business process validation testing, which allows business analysts and functional users to define, execute, and maintain tests through a menu-driven interface with business language narratives.

Worksoft Certify provides a single integrated platform for testing business processes across the enterprise without relying on time-consuming and inefficient scripting processes. Processes that span multiple technologies and platforms, such as SAP solutions, .Net, HTML, JAVA, 3270 mainframe, 5250 or UNIX midrange, and SOA messages can be effectively tested in a single, seamless test process. Worksoft Certify's unique "learn" feature maps each screen of the customer's application to automatically discover all of the functions it contains, such as input fields, labels, and pull down boxes, among others.
