| Toshiba Launches New Colour Multifunctional Products Toshiba Tec UK Imaging Systems has announced the launch of its new multifunctional products (MFPs), developed specifically to enable users to print, scan, copy and fax faster, and to a higher quality than previously possible. The new colour series (e-STUDIO2820c/3520c/4520c), developed using new technology, allows Toshiba to play a much greater role in the colour market. Businesses deploying the new MFP range are able to print high quality colour documents and brochures in-house, saving the cost and time typically involved in outsourcing these jobs. The MFPs are capable of colour matching, which is crucial for producing branded documents and logos. The colour machines can also print on waterproof paper, and print banners up to 1.2 metres long, which is of particular benefit to creative departments in need of premium colour solutions. Colour LCD display screens and touch screen functionality means these new colour MFPs are extremely easy to use. The screen makes printing and scanning more efficient than ever. Ahead of the actual print output, thumbnails of scanned documents are shown on the display, which means businesses can save both time and paper. The new colour series product range is set to increase productivity for departments, with printing speeds of up to 45 pages per minute. The Imaging Acceleration function speeds up image processing calculations, and because the MFPs can now hold 3,700 sheets of paper, less time is spent refilling machines. Document management is now more efficient than before, due to the high speed of document scanning, which can reach up to 57 scans per minute. Documents can be quickly scanned into files on a company server, and with the meta-scan function, documents can be indexed before scanning, and sent straight into the right folder. The colour series has been designed to meet Energy Star and Blue Angel criteria, and Toshiba has incorporated new features to help users protect the environment. Alongside toner recycling, the MFPs have a better developed fuser than standard MFPs, so that less heat is required and energy consumption can be reduced. write your comments about the article :: © 2008 Computing News :: home page |
