Calyx Appoints Chief Operating Officer

Calyx Group has appointed Tara Brady as Chief Operating Officer for the Group to ensure the company is aligned for growth.

The Group recently announced a rebranding initiative, which involved all nine of its divisions aligning to one, commonly recognised Calyx brand. With a move to one company brand came the need to appoint a Group COO to take operations to the next level. Brady takes full responsibility for the management of operations within the Group ensuring that the high levels of customer satisfaction and profitability are maintained.

Brady's extensive industry experience and particular focus on business development confirms the calibre of the senior management team now assembled at Calyx Group and its commitment to growth - Calyx's first financial update since going private in July last year, reported a turnover in excess of £100 million, up by 54% on the previous year.

Prior to his appointment, Brady was General Manager of Getronics for the UK and Ireland, following his role as Executive Vice-President for Business Development and Marketing worldwide. Previously he has held senior roles with LogicaCMG and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

With demand in the ICT markets in both Ireland and the UK moving in the direction of managed services, there is an increasing premium placed on integrated service delivery. The rebranding initiative is a reflection that the Calyx Group is now a complete end-to-end solutions provider capable of offering a range of complementary ICT products and services, and is well on its way to becoming the number one player in the market. AIB, Citi, O2, London Fire Brigade, hospitals and government departments are among the customers that Calyx is working with.
