JVC Introduces the VN-V26U IP-network Camera

JVC announces the expansion of its IP-network camera line with the introduction of the VN-V26U. The VN-V26U is a versatile day/night camera featuring bi-directional audio with 30fps MJPEG and 30fps MPEG-4 video streams simultaneously preserving image quality and optimizing bandwidth.

The core JVC technology driving the VN-V26U IP camera is a ¼-inch progressive scan CCD imager, which delivers sharp and clear images in true colors without flicker and without interlace smear caused by even the slightest movement. The VN-V26U's built-in mic and speaker jack make it ideal in facilities where two-way audio, properly synchronized with video, provides the additional interactive capability as well as comprehensive audio/visual information for forensic purposes.

The VN-V26U also features an IR cut filter for true day/night and Easy Wide-D to provide higher sensitivity for monitoring and back light compensation in even the harshest lighting conditions. Four gamma settings allow for user customization of display type such as LCD1, LCD2 and CRT for optimum image no matter what the display. The VN-V26U supports industry standard Power over Ethernet (PoE) speeding installation and avoiding additional cabling With the VN-V26U, video, audio and power are carried on a single Ethernet cable.

IP recording solutions were also one of the fundamental considerations in the design of the VN-V26U. Most popular network video recording systems support the VN-V26U together with JVC's full IP camera line and more network video recording systems are using the simple JVC API every day to incorporate the VN-V26U into their recording platforms. The VN-V26U is also the perfect complement to JVC's VR-N900U or VR-N1600U network video recorders for a scalable solution from entry to enterprise level security systems.
