AMD Receives First Ever DisplayPort Certification for PC Graphics

The Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA) has delivered its first full DisplayPort certification of PC graphics products to AMD and its ATI Radeon HD 3400, ATI Radeon HD 3600 and ATI Radeon HD 3800 graphics products and the AMD 780G integrated graphics chipset. As the next generation of PC display connection technology, the DisplayPort interface delivers twice the output bandwidth of DVI, moving the industry forward to a new generation of brilliant display capabilities.

The certified AMD products support Dell's new DisplayPort offerings including the UltraSharp 3008WFP and 2408WFP Widescreen LCD Monitors.
