| Vigor Gaming's Force Recon SP and Force Recon BT PCs Unveiled Vigor Gaming Computer has beefed up its flagship Force Recon gaming rig line with the addition of new AMD Phenom and Intel Penryn-based systems that feature ATI CrossFire video technology. Vigor Gaming's Force Recon SP and Force Recon BT are geared to gaming enthusiasts and multimedia users who want to enhance their graphics performance with dual graphics card technology and tomorrow's top-end 64-bit processors. The new Force Recon SP combines AMD's new Phenom Quad-Core processors with two ATI Radeon HD3870 graphics cards and a CrossFire-compatible MSI K9A2 motherboard to allow users to play games and process video at incredible frame rates. Dual-chip graphics processors such as the HD3870 in a CrossFire setting nearly double the performance of single-chip video cards and produce the highest possible image quality, especially at the extreme resolution available with XHD monitors (2560x1600). A performance Force Recon SP built for gaming enthusiasts might include an AMD Phenom 9600 Quad-Core AM2+ CPU; Vigor Alpha Force enclosure; Vigor Whisper Cool cooling system; MSI K9A2 motherboard; 4GBs DDR2 memory; a pair of 150GB, 10,000RPM SATA operating system hard drives; twin 750 GB SATA II data hard drives; a pair of ATI Radeon HD3870 CrossFire video cards; an internal SATA 20X DVD+/-RW + CDRW rewritable combo drive with bundled DVD/CDRW software; 10/100/1000Mbps gigabit PCI network card; and a 1.44MB 3.5" floppy drive. A digital hi-def 3D 8-channel Home Theater Audio subsystem is also offered. For gamers who prefer Intel Core 2 CPUs, the Force Recon BT is a "force" to be reckoned with. Vigor Gaming's Force Recon BT desktop gaming rig, like all Vigor Gaming PCs, can be configured for price or performance. Intel's quad-core QX9650 Core 2 Extreme 3.0 GHz CPU includes Intel's new SSE4 instructions, which greatly speed up tasks such as video encoding, 3D gaming and graphics, image processing, and video processing (in all applications written for SSE4). A "juiced" Force Recon BT designed for ultimate gaming performance could be configured with the QX9650 Penryn CPU mounted to an Intel DX38BT "BoneTrail" gaming motherboard with CrossFire support and ATI Radeon HD 3870 X2 graphics cards. Memory and storage includes 2GB of Corsair DDR3 1333 MHz memory (2 X 1024MB); a pair of 750GB SATA II hard drives at 7,200 RPM; an internal SATA 20X DVD+/-RW + CDRW rewritable combo drive with bundled DVD/CD-RW software; and 1.44MB 3.5" floppy drive. A Dolby 8-channel Home Theater Audio subsystem is also offered. The Vigor Force Recon BT includes onboard Gigabit (10/100/1000Mbps) PCI Network Card. The components are all enclosed in a Vigor ALPHA FORCE screw less chassis with Vigor's Typhoon Air Ventilation System. The Vigor enclosure is obsidian black and can be custom-painted. Vigor tackles system cooling by using its Vigor Whisper Cool system. Both the Force Recon SP and BT series come loaded with Microsoft Windows Vista 32-bit Home Basic Edition with original DVD. Vigor offers a number of options such as custom painting for any system as well as free overclocking.
