| Toshiba to Roll out Laptops Featuring Intel’s Penryn Technology Toshiba's Digital Products Division, a division of Toshiba America Information Systems, announces that its Qosmio, Satellite X205 and select models of the Satellite U305 notebook series will incorporate Intel's new line of performance Core 2 Duo mobile processors – (codename Penryn) designed to deliver greater computing prowess to power the most demanding applications. New models of the Satellite X205 will use the Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T8100 to drive gaming performance even higher, while the 4.6 pound Satellite U305 will harness the Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T8100 to prove that mobility and performance are not mutually exclusive. The Qosmio G45 with the Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T9300 will continue to lead the industry's integration of HD DVD technology. All new Toshiba notebooks are RoHS-compatible, effectively reducing the environmental impact by restricting the use of lead, mercury and certain other hazardous substances. Toshiba also offers a computer trade-in and recycling program to reduce environmental impact and promote efficient utilization of resources.
