| Stonestreet One Announces WiMedia Protocol Software Stonestreet One has announced the availability of its new UltraSuite MAC Protocol Software. This new software expands the features and capabilities of the Stonestreet One UltraSuite portfolio for UWB silicon providers, module manufacturers, system integrators, and OEM/ODM customers. The Stonestreet One UltraSuite MAC Protocol Software is a comprehensive set of embedded firmware and on-chip services designed to run on hardware platforms based on the WiMedia (ECMA 368) MAC specification. The software supports a variety of protocol adaptation layers (PALs) including Certified Wireless USB, WiMedia Link Layer Protocol (WLP), and next generation high data rate Bluetooth. The Certified Wireless USB software includes a complete implementation of dual role device (DRD), which provides Certified Wireless USB peer-to-peer capabilities to Stonestreet One customers. The UltraSuite PAL architecture can support any combination of one or more of these PAL services concurrently, depending on the underlying hardware resources and implementation. In addition to this new software, Stonestreet One also offers corresponding UltraSuite (UWB) and Bluetopia (Bluetooth) stacks and profiles for a wide variety of platforms and operating system configurations.
