Mtron Announces New Mtron SSD MOBI in the Consumer Market

Mtron has launched a new SSD product named Mtron SSD MOBI in the consumer market. With Mtron's new product, the high performance SSD is now available to the consumers, which is expected to replace the current hard disk with SSD in near future. Based on their success in high performance SSD products for high-end servers and storages, Mtron has been able to develop high performance SSD for consumer purposes as well. With their new SSD MOBI, Mtron now offers variety of premium consumer SSD products in affordable price range.

Mtron SSD MOBI uses SLC (Single Level Cell) memory to provide the maximum reading speed of 100 MB per second, maximum writing speed of 80 MB per second, and random access time of 0.1 ms. It also has twice faster booting speed than current hard disk and works at significantly faster speed for large rendering tasks such as multi-tasking, Photoshop, and CAD.

Mtron SSD MOBI also supplies Serial ATA interface for easy replacement of hard disk in desktop and laptop computers with SSD. Mtron SSD MOBI especially has great advantage for laptop computers and UMPC because it uses flash memory for less heat and noise, and has strong protection against outside environment.

Starting with Mtron SSD MOBI, Mtron will continue to enhance its consumer SSD line of products by releasing 1.8-inch version, MLC (Multi Level Cell) memory SSD, and other premium consumer SSD products in 2008.
