| The Federation’s Public and Legal Affairs Officer Called to the Bar The Federation Against Software Theft (The Federation) welcomes the news that James Craig, Public and Legal Affairs Officer has been called to the bar as a fully qualified Barrister. This news adds further credence to the enforcement body as it develops the talents of its legal team to stay one step ahead of software piracy. John Lovelock, Chief Executive, The Federation, commented: "We are delighted that James has achieved his goal to be enrolled as a Barrister. Defending intellectual property and stamping out the growing threat of software piracy is an enormous task and this achievement demonstrates the talents and skills our team members are brining to this fight." Lovelock continued "James posses a wealth of knowledge and experience in diverse areas of law and training in the areas of conferencing, advocacy, criminal litigation, civil litigation, evidence and judicial review. These skills will prove invaluable to The Federation and will enable us to advance our reach in defending members' rights." Since his arrival last year, Craig has been responsible for developing The Federation's enforcement objectives, through investigation and prosecution of those misusing software and seeking remedies for FAST members. Craig commented, "Achieving my ambition to become a barrister has been a long process and required intensive study and training.
