| CyberLink MakeDisc 3 Now Available CyberLink has added to its range of enhancement software for Windows Vista Media Center with the availability of CyberLink MakeDisc 3. The latest version of MakeDisc enables authoring of video and photos, and the burning of data and music files on Blu-ray Discs and DVDs. MakeDisc 3 with support for Blu-ray Discs is available to OEM customers that are developing solutions for the digital home, while a version supporting DVD authoring and burning is now available on the CyberLink website. MakeDisc is a suitable solution for burning recorded TV. It automatically detects whether a recorded TV program contains most of its content broadcast in widescreen (16:9) or standard (4:3) display ratio, then selects the appropriate size for authoring and burning to DVD. When authoring videos and photos to DVD, users can select a disc menu from a built-in library then add background music, before burning. The Virtual Keyboard allows users to name their discs via remote control. Meanwhile, Smart Fit technology lets users simplify the burning process by automatically selecting the best video quality for a DVD's available disc space. In addition to features for authoring and burning recorded TV content, MakeDisc 3 (for DVDs) supports the following functions: - Burning data files stored on a user's hard drive. - Creating photo slideshows, which users can burn to disc. - Turning MP3 files into Audio CDs, and burning MP3/WMA files to CD or DVD. - Creating PAL and NTSC video files featuring Dolby Digital or LPCM audio. - Operating via (optional) remote control. - Erasing re-writable disc media. - Burning to CD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW and DVD-R/RW discs. write your comments about the article :: © 2007 Computing News :: home page |
