| KPIT Cummins Becomes a Member of JasPar KPIT Cummins Infosystems has announced its membership with JasPar (Japan Automotive Software Platform ARchitecture), a consortium of automotive manufacturers and suppliers working together to develop and establish a standard Japan Automotive Platform Architecture. JasPar is responsible for defining uniform, interchangeable high-speed bus architecture for the Japanese car industry. Highlights: - KPIT Cummins Infosystems Ltd. is first & the only Indian company which has become a part of the prestigious Japan based consortium; - JasPar aims to contribute to the development of global standards, to evolve and enable standardization of communication in the areas of auto & electronic software; - JasPar was initiated by leading Japanese automotive OEMs & and tier 1s - Honda, Nissan Toyota Motor Corp., Denso and Toyota Tsusho Electronics; - The membership is granted after the candidate company has met stringent qualification criteria and has sought endorsement from a CORE group member; - The membership reinforces KPIT Cummins' position as a significant global player in the automotive industry; - KPIT Cummins can now use JasPar specifications to develop tools in compliance with JasPar standards for the Japan automotive market; - Prime advantage of being JasPar member is that it enables access to technology development requirements of participating OEM's as well as preferential access to the outcome of the joint development. JasPar was formed to address the escalating need for efficient cars and the increasingly stringent legislations for car safety in Japan.
